Becoming a member of our troupe team is a fantastic opportunity for any dancer wishing to take their training & performance to the next level. It is fun, hard work & rewarding. The change you will see in your dancer after 12 months will be incredible. Commitment plays a large part, so it is important to understand what is expected of yourself & your dancer.

Eisteddfod Dates
Our troupe team will perform at approx 8 eisteddfods in our 2026 dance season, with the venues located between Ulladulla & Wollongong. Once I have selected our eisteddfods, we are given the weekend it falls on. Approx 2-3 weeks beforehand (when we receive the program) we will know whether we are performing on the Saturday or Sunday of that weekend (only one day). This is because the organisers do not know how many dance studios will enter their eisteddfod until the entry closing date. I always let my team know as soon as I receive the program. All dancers are required at all eisteddfods. Once our weekends are confirmed (hopefully before Christmas) you must please let us know in writing if you have a special event/wedding/holiday already booked on any of the dates so we can evaluate.

Opportunities
The following opportunities are exclusive to our troupe team:

*Ulladulla Blessing of the Fleet Festival, Easter Sunday
*Community performances representing Everybody Dance Now
*Members of our 26/27/28 season will be invited to join our next Disney Dance Tour in 2028
*Option to learn solos for eisteddfods (weekly private lesson required)

Learning Choreography
All troupe team members have a weekly lesson devoted to their eisteddfod routines. The choreography for each, however, will be taught in a one-off extended lesson. The weekly troupe lesson is then spent polishing the routine to get it ready for eisteddfods. Each team will be aiming to learn 3 brand new routines during term 1, in preparation for our first competition of the year. One-off extended lessons will happen on a Friday afternoon from roughly 4pm - 6pm. Each troupe team will be required at around 3-4 Friday afternoon lessons (pending how much choreography they can absorb per lesson) during term 1 to learn their new routines. This schedule will be organised with our teachers soon. Any extra rehearsals needed before an eisteddfod will also be Friday afternoon.

At Home Practice
This is a non-negotiable for our troupe team, given the amount of choreography they will be learning. All dancers must incorporate daily routine practice into their schedule. You would be surprised how much as little as 15 minutes a day of practice can make to your dancers confidence & ability to retain multiple routines. Parents & dancers will be equally responsible for making the time each day to practice.

Full Season Commitment
Troupe team is a full dance season commitment & attendance at every lesson is important. If a dancer is unable to participate in a lesson (injured/tired/sick but not contagious) they are expected to come & watch the lesson so they do not miss anything important.
Eisteddfod Costumes
Each routine will require a separate costume, but that costume will be worn at every eisteddfod throughout the year. I do my best to keep the cost between $60-$90 per costume.

Troupe Uniform
All team members will need a studio jacket. Full studio uniform is worn to eisteddfods.

Required Weekly Training
All troupe team members must be enrolled in at least jazz, ballet & acro. These classes are the foundation for technique, strength, skills & flexibility. This is only the minimum requirement, however we encourage dancers to enrol in as many as possible for your family. From just these 3 training classes, we can create jazz, lyrical & hip hop routines for eisteddfods.
I have designed 4 levels of discounted membership packages exclusively for troupe team members. From "Starter Troupe" to "Ultimate Troupe", the classes in each package are based on which classes we recommend beneficial for competition training. They represent incredible savings based on our fees rate of $20 per class. The highest level of membership is the equivalent of only $14 per class.
Dancers are to choose from one of the following:

Starter Troupe $68 (4 classes per week @ $17 per class)
Jazz
Ballet
Acro

This package is a saving of $400 per year

The troupe class fee is capped. This includes your weekly troupe lesson, your one-off extended lessons (Friday afternoons) as well as any extra rehearsals that may be required before an eisteddfod (also Friday afternoons).

Troupe team members on direct debit have the option of stretching their weekly payment dates into the 2 weeks of school holidays every term to reduce the weekly debit amount. For example: "Starter Troupe" $68 would become $57 per week over every week (From Week 1 Term 1 until 2 weeks after our concert)

In December, we will be running the 2026 timetable. If you are considering troupe, it is imperative you book your dancer into at least their minimum required classes. This will allow them to get a feel of the class & their teacher before committing to the troupe team.
